Anticipation instead of expectation plays through these lines of yours, John. I’m likely not in a minority of your readers who brighten just reading your encouragement and optimism. From your first line…and “Just one simple pleasure you will now have,” — the immediacy is the gem in ‘Something to Look Forward to”. We contributors to AD can scorch out some sweltering language in the form of story, blog or poetry; and most of us can also use words that place the teaspoon hatchling back into the nest from which it fell. Disaster and Delicacy swim the paisley pattern of yin/yang, chasing each other inside the ‘circle of life,’ and your poetry provides plenty of white vs. black. Keep carrying the flame* ~~ djl

Like Odin, I have no major goals right now except to face each day with a smile on my face and a willingness to learn more as I continue to create short stories and poems.
