There’s always a next one
The next day, the next hour
The next chance, some luck won
The next rainstorm, the next shower
The next journey that will get us there
The next step that will bring us home
The next challenge, the next prayer
The next question under heaven’s dome
We never truly know what will come next
Destiny written letter by letter on a scroll
Around every corner a challenge, a test
Things happen that are out of our control
Time knows what’s next: the minute, the hour
The bud knows what’s next: a beautiful flower

I'm currently getting so much information on what is next, that I can only participate in a very small portion of them, like reading your poems and commenting. But lately, I find myself so involved doing the next thing that I missed a major thing on my calendar. Probably just a sign of getting older.
