All My Troubles

by John Herlihy

I confess that I bear all my troubles well,

With nary a word to say and no one to tell.

In my surroundings, silence speaks volumes,

As in the desert, silence hovers over the dunes.

Within the confines of my solitude, I give voice,

Not that I have in the matter any other choice.

Over the years I realized that few people listen,

Like speaking to the stars, they merely glisten.

They listen not, but across light years, they speak,

In the face of their ancient message, I feel weak.

All praise to the solitude that I feel its wonder,

Lightning strikes silently, but we hear its thunder.

All my troubles will stay with me for another day,

In time, they will finally disappear and that’s okay.

Vanish on their own as they vanish into the mist,

To leave behind as exquisite feeling of being blest.

WHAT AN EXQUISITE REVELATION WHEN ONE REALIZES THAT WE BEAR...NOTHING! IT REALLY IS ...ALL GOD, ALONE, WHO TACKLES ALL OUR TROUBLES. 'HE' PROMPTS AND ENCOURAGES WHILE GIVING US THE STRENGTH TO GO ON...EVEN WHEN WE ARE FEARFUL. IT IS 'HE' THAT RAISES OUR ARMS AND SWINGS THE MIGHTY BAT THAT DEFEATS THE OBSTACLES WHICH...'WITHOUT HIM', WOULD DEFEAT US. FOR, VOID OF 'HIM' WE ARE EMPTY VESSELS! THUS, WITHOUT ANY QUESTION AT ALL, 'HE'...IS THE OMNIPOTENT, UNDESERVED 'BLESSING' IN OUR LIVES...WHO DOES IT ALL! WHAT A FINE WORK, THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

The cycle of troubles and feeling on top of everything goes on and on. Perhaps it's the moments we feel most troubled that we are conveyed an out... a change of focus that often works. You have much to say and much for us to listen to. You're helping others grow with your honesty and humbleness. Keep writing.

Still Living on my Feet by Tichaona Chinyelu

Still Living on my Feet is the follow up to Tichaona Chinyelu’s first book, In the Whirlwind, which was rooted in a sense of hard-hitting revolutionary black love. However, in this sophomore effort, Tichaona brings the revolutionary essence from deep
