An Illusion of You

Sometimes things happen in life and we do not understand them at all. I wrote this during one of those times. Thank goodness I see the purpose in all of what happened now....

 

 

Promises made 'pon starlit nights

Songs and verses rehearsed oh so right

Kisses of passion, loving so grand

Side by side walking, hand holding hand

Vows of forever earnestly spoke

These visions are seen through hazy blue smoke

Was it all folly? A romantic's dream?

Sometimes love isn't all that it seems

Now I see clearly what is ever so true



I fell in love


With an Illusion of you
