I’ll Be Home for Christmas
Every year, around Thanksgiving
My thoughts soon turn to our soldiers
Who will not be home for The Holidays
So many of them, still deployed over there
Thousands of our very valiant military personnel
Are still now stationed in Afghanistan and in Iraq
And, although they would all love to be back here
For yet another Holiday Season, they won’t be back
To show these soldiers we haven’t forgotten about them
Operation Care Package sends them gifts for the Holidays
And, these care packages include pre-paid telephone cards
So they can at least call their loved ones, on Christmas Day

Approved and endorsed by the Department of Defense, Operation USO Care Package is a marvelous way to send a much needed message of encouragement to our troops this Holiday Season, a time when most of them miss their loved ones, and being back home, the very most.
For every $25 donation made, the program sends a care package valued at approximately $75 to a deployed service member. At a minimum, these care packages include a personalized message of support from the donor, a prepaid international phone card, snacks, playing cards, reading material, camo kits containing shampoo, conditioner, hand sanitizer, tooth paste, tooth brush, sunscreen, and other requested and needed items.

Our wives here "Red Hatters" get together each year
to bake home made cookies and send it to soldiers in the fronts
so far they been doing a great job, some send them little items that might not mean much to us, but for them, means the world, toot paste new socks playing cards and candy treats not available where they stand......
