Silence Of The Dying Lark

Raindrops fall on broken windows

like tears upon saddened soul.

With life coming full circle,

Kicking and screaming

into  the darkness below.

Dreams remain of a smiling yesterday

Yet bruised by a fading morrow.

Giving unto the silence now of a dying lark,

In fields of burning sorrow.

Oh raindrops,

Oh lasting pain

Oh broken heart,

Release me now

That sadness may refrain,

For my tears have torn,

My tender heart worn

As I acquiesce

 like the dying lark,

forever in silence

to never again

the morning greet,

to never again,

in sunny meadows sing.

An extremely sad, and as Tracey said, heartbreaking write, J. Allen, although a most powerful poem.

That is the most Heartbreaking and Beautiful poem. And I am so sorry for your heart that breaks, today. His Love will Guide and Heal Your heart for you, to like a lark, once again sing. God Bless You.
