Meadows Of Silent Reflection

Meadows Of Silent Reflection:

O dark is this dream of twilights call,

which cast its sorrowful shadows

upon sacred and holy wall.

Silent now are the meadows sweet,

which bloomed once in glory,

Yet, now fall cripple to lasting defeat.

For as unto the chill of winters death

Lay hope once crying…

frozen,

somber,

and dying.

So therefore should not now it be said,

That the living no longer live,

just to bury their dead.

For the seraphim's of light,

Which flutter and flitter

In their tainted glory

of a lost holy night…

Have…

Have so sad…

in weakness of mind

given over unto the darkness

the keys of eternal time.

For I am a dream of misconception

And the death of winters chill,

Has forever forged its will.

For I lay down

Unto this mind…

Lost hope,

and dying dreams

In the

Meadows

Of

Silent

Reflection.

Allen, I doubt very much you’d go silently into the night, my friend. I loved the vivid imagery, and the deep profoundness of the write, but especially these lines: “For I am a dream of misconception - And the death of winters chill, Has forever forged its will.” An excellent composition which begs for publishing. Outstanding job!

J.Allen, this is astoundingly beautiful. I done my best to decide on a favorite verse, but that was not happening...so I just choose it all and will save it to my library.
Great work!

Lisa
