Positive Quest:

When I saw but the grim of darkness,

you envisioned the glorious light.

when I felt the oppression of valleys so low,

you shouted in victory from mountains height.

Though I took the high road and you the low,

it was I who descended and you who to great heights arose.

for you laid witness to the positiveness of your mind,

and I, oh miserable I...surrendered to the act of dying.

So pray tell unto me, this soft secret that you keep,

for I too, someday soon, wish to shout from glories peak.

They say that opposites attract and like particles repel,

if that be scientifically so, then why do so many in misery dwell.

So if you can hear me from this cold valley below,

if your vision can penetrate this darkness that I have come to know,

then from your warm and heavens inspired peak,

lend to me your voice, that direction and purpose will too be mine to keep.

For you are a poet of great vision, a master of the art,

Yet you sully not to haughtiness but speak with a generous heart.

You are a genuine scribe of a unique nature and a credit to life's game.

For to have read your works as I have read yours, I can now attest

that my sights have been raised, and my life is no longer the same.

For I shall now embark on a new and positive quest…
