Hole In The Head

Today was my culprit, oh how today played me the fool.

I went to work sick, because I thought that was what I should do.

I hacked and sneezed, coughed and wheezed,

Had to do what I had to do…because I have all these financial needs.

Time moved slowly across my plane at an almost backwards pace,

And just when I thought I had the day made,

Something happened to cause me much pain.

For as I write these not so eloquent lines,

My ears still ring like the abbey chimes.

As I knocked a hole in my head today I did,

Bout the size of a dime…

I spun around turning, my eyes hellishly burning

My face and my hair turned red with blood…from the gapping hole in my head.

Ah thought I…just what I need

Another hole in the head in which to sneeze.

{Aye, but I am happy to say, and according to the companies accident report

There was no damage to company property in any way}

It's good to read humor in this poem. But, ouch! Maybe next time, you should stay home.

Hope you didn't get a concusion and you went to the dr and all and hope you Will stay home. I'm glad that hard head of yours didn't do any damage to the company equipment and hope it knocked some sense into you, as in it's ok to call in sick when you ARE sick.

I hope you are alright. Hole the size of a dime is big. Should get medical attention to stitch that up.

Well...at least you are well enough to sit up and write this poem.

Take care.
