I saw Your Name Today…

I saw your name written on the clouds today.

I thought you weeping as it began to rain.

My heart fell somber now, with my tears mingling in,

I was lost unto tomorrow while waiting on yesterday to begin.

Time has no meaning now as I ever watch the darkening sky.

Oh, discharge of memory, oh collapse of beating heart,

Waiting am I, ever waiting for these clouds of discord to part.

Yet to whit should this knowledge of my inner spirit feel,

To what small miracle shall this soul’s burden reveal?

For I only live to someday with sadness die.

Yet I only die because you in your silence said goodbye.
