The Rose Petal Sea
Pink clouds drift soft like velvet upon a crystal sea.
Raindrops unto flower petals fall with a genteel breeze.
Blue seagulls gather on the shore beneath a translucent sun.
Children of forgotten men erect golden castles when the day is done.
Tall ships without names sail now upon the rose petal sea.
Celebrations arise to the promise of a certain jubilee.
Hereunto I build from these sands of unadulterated Gold.
Alas to sail the rose petal sea, cast off from castles glow.
Blue gulls; pink skies; golden castles lie sweet in time.
