Orange Roses And The Carolina Moon
Brilliant orange roses cling fast to the spindly vine.
Shadows steep from a Carolina moon slowly climb.
A Two AM morning’s mist lies soft and sweet in the air.
Crickets and birds now sleep; prowling cats play without care.
Two AM and I walk in my silence through the moonlit dark.
The world around me is mute; the dreams of the sleeping ones soon start.
Yet here am I beneath a Carolina moon with bright orange roses in full bloom.

I love looking outside my window at night, when everything is dark, and seeing my blooming flowers beneath the moonlit glow. The picture that this poem paints in my mind is one of pure beauty. Thank you.
