Angel Wings
Meadows burgeon sweetly unto essence lively call.
The silence of the day slips unnoticed limping softly into the nightfall.
For if these eyes could only see; if these ears would only hear.
Oh what marvels they could share, oh what worlds so bright and fair.
So come now with eyes of the spirit save not the mortal eyes of mere man.
Oh then what wonders one could see that has been lain forth by God’s mighty hand.
Oh but now to see beyond this flesh which is bound but for a season and a day.
Oh but to hear the angels sing as they in adoration to Jesus offer continuous praise.
Come Smell the Hyssop and the lavender; come taste a million and roses in full bloom.
Stretch forth thy weary hands and touch the very stars in the heavens night’s sky.
And listen…just listen and you will hear the angel’s wings as they over the meadow gracefully fly.
