Blank Stares and Dead Eyes
Blank stares, dead eyes; solitude captured in a poisoned mind.
Screaming children climb the sheer cliffs of broken truth.
Dead men laugh at the living; the living cries that the dead have no proof.
Ignorance is the normality, insanity by all measures rule.
The learned and the wise once revered are now regarded the fool.
Peace is but a dream cast upon the dying waters of fleeting time.
Hark unto the evidence and the soft whispers in the night that steals the mind.
For the dead still laugh, and the living still in shattered hope always cry.
No more is the reason of reasoning, forever and never forgotten,
are the blanks stares and the ever haunting look in stone cold dead eyes.
