Cracked

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.

Tired and all alone, with only silent shadows to call home.
The darkness is now my friend as a quiet fear creeps in.
Distant memories now all fade to black and dreams once held,
slip with ease through my mind as I slowly begin to crack.

Oh the pain of this accursed night, one that rips at the fabric of my soul.
I question...without reason and I answer myself in order to accept this plight.
Should I though? Why pray tell should I provide an answer, should I be so bold?
Never mind, for I shall never tell....the mind is now gone, for through the crack it has fell.
