Paradiseian Dreams

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

Sunday, February 8, 2004

I dream of a tomorrow with a never setting sun,

one in which the rays of love and hope, never come undone.

I dream of the day, when we all like children can play,

A day where peace and loves respect is not the exception, but the norm,

A day where hate and prejudice are frowned upon and receive "Just" scorn

Is there such a day, in my land of uncharted tomorrow's?

Or will I always see, the pain and suffering of sorrows?

Will the sun continue to set upon my paradiseian dreams?

Or shall the heart of man arise, with pureness that only God can deem?

Alas, I wonder…Alas I dream…

I shall forever search for my paradiseian dream.

as civilization transforms, hopefully it will evolve into such a paradise ... dream we must, for if we refrain from doing so, we shall indeed return to dust ...

If there is a paradise you are sure to find it, my friend.

Is there such a day, in my land of uncharted tomorrow's?

Or will I always see, the pain and suffering of sorrows?

Will the sun continue to set upon my paradiseian dreams?

EXCELLENT lines...OUTSTANDING write.
