Reindeer: If you should happen to read this, it was your poetry that inspired and encouraged me to write this. Most of us carry some 'baggage' of sadness and bad memory's, and this is a good way to 'dump' them and make way for something better to fill that space.
When We Took Our Vows
When we took our vows I thought it would last, that was never to be. Over twenty long years we shared our lives, made children raised a family. Though I loved you Indifference I suffered, my mind didn’t matter, that’s not what you wanted, just my body and any would do. You walked over my dreams, broke my heart into pieces, just using and mentally abusing, till I lost respect for you. Do you know how close I came to ending it all right under a train? I wonder, would you even care? You hated your mother lacked respect for your sisters, I guess that’s what coloured your view. The baggage you carry weighs down your soul, destroys and cripples, I am sorry for you. Now it is you who is bitter and sad, not your fault, you claim, and you say, he took me away from you. But deep in your heart you know, that before he came, you had already lost me, long, long ago.
