A clean slate. Few of us get a chance to start over again. Unfortunate that it should happen, but clean slates are few and very far between. Great to see something like this end on an excited note of cheer and hope and a little confidence. Just takes a little you know. Enjoyed the read. Bob

Excellent write infusing the reader with positivity, Lark. I do not believe in luck as it is akin to throwing hope to the whims of an unknown force. But I do believe that we pave our own way in this world making choices that may be good or maybe bad as we wind our way through a path or road without street signs to tell us where we ultimately wind up. This poem really points out the good in being able to make a new choice.

A profound poetic message. I been there before and glad I am out. Better off to try computer dating than the bar scene. It's a nasty world out in that cesspool and not a pretty one at that. Churches have lots of single groups and at least most folks are sympathetic in there and are willing to share and care. This time of year better off going the safe mode as it seems you tried other rough roads before and as I have found, they all to often lead to nowhere.
