When you were born and your eyes opened
Mine opened.
When your eyes cried
Mine cried.
When your eyes showed hurt
Mine hurt.
When your eyes were happy
Mine were happy.
When your eyes closed for the last time
Mine closed.
Never to really see the world again.
I appreciate what Ron Hull said here: “Each line reflects your connection to him, from his birth onward.” I differ in the “being free to see again,” because there are losses that have our souls needing to read braille for what feels like and may be…the rest of our days. 1,000 sorrows in every raised dot. With compassion ~~ djl
I don't have any children. But I'm sure losing one the way you lost Davy will stay with you for some time yet to come. I know you didn't cause It, so free yourself from that thought. In time you will be free to see again.
Each line reflects your connection to him, from his birth onward. Well done. It will help you, writing about it.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
Each line reflects your connection to him, from his birth onward. Well done. It will help you, writing about it.
