A very young man has come to me
shyly he expresses with a plea
that his heart is pure and kind
and rages to join in love with mine
desperately I try to steer him away
for I am in my twlight time
and he has just begun his day

"What could have stirred such an affection,
please do say?"
his reply,  "your kind smile and assured grace
the look of wisdom on your sweet, sweet face
has stirred this deep and real affection
along with what you already know of love,
are all things this young man searches and longs for
and that draw me to you in sincere attraction"

"But what is the real chance of us being together?"
he replied" If you would but trust your heart to me,
mine is yours to have forever!
"to let my true love unwind and unfurl,
I need a woman, not a girl"

How can I deny such honesty
in such a heart felt plea?
regardless of age, love is love when it's real
so I should take the chance, and
test the feelings that I feel
