My firstborn was a beautiful, from the first breath, healthy, happy girl. My first marriage was a dreadful, heartbreak! My wife filed for divorce when she was three months pregnant, citing the usual �shyster� lawyer advice. The ensuing years were filled with longing to be a part of little Carol�s life. Many years later, when she grew to a lovely teenager, we began to bond during brief visits. Now, during my twilight years, we have grown gloriously close. A loving God saw to it!

Many years ago you entered my life one day As fate would have it, you weren’t allowed to stay My attempts to see you always were in vain They left me with a lonely life of pain The years dragged by with you constantly on my mind I tried so hard to learn a way to find A way to see you that would not break my heart But stumbling blocks were there to keep us apart God’s promise not to give us more than we can stand Was finally granted when I felt His loving hand “My child” He said, it’s time for you to know This gift I loaned you that makes your whole life glow What precious moments now we have to share As I grow old you are always there to care For my every need and grant me endless love All credit goes to the Great “I AM” from Above Copyright © 2011--- James C.
