IN THE END OF DAYS

Deep in space the moon shone wraith-like bright,

The callused form a sinister white.

Then ghostly white changed to black,

As a shadow passed over like an enveloping sack.

Dust and moon rock juddered as the shadow passed by,

The moon once more shone spectral white in the sky.

An asteroid entered the atmosphere fieriness in its wake,

The President portrays the news to a shocked, aghast state.

Asteroids spread was two miles wide,

With fiery tail and jagged sides.

Evacuation starts mass traffic jams begin,

Looting in shops also as frustration sets in.

Screaming families trampled in the rush to escape,

The grey mass aproached its size taking shape.

With impact only seconds people huddle with fright,

Children tremble at the thought of death huddled up tight.

The devil from space impacted into the sea driving up a water wall,

Shock waves pullsed the wall towards the land one hundred foot tall.

Underlations powered on a foamy white horse,

It hit the land destroying everything with the speed of nature's force.

Skyscrapers toppled like dominos, cars flipped into the air,

Onlookers prayed as the wall aproached with a fixed stares.

Shock waves decimated the land smashing everything in its way,

Armagedon had arrived extinction was on its way.

Man's inability to leave Earth and search for dwellings in space,

Had brought down its end, Global Extinction of the Human Race.
