She pirouettes through fading light
O'er silken gown doth twilight flow
Her wings brush gently 'gainst the night
Sweeping wide and taking flight
To whirl amid the starry glow
She pirouettes through fading light
Then softly swooping out of sight
Casts fairy dust like wind-blown snow
Whilst her wings brush gently 'gainst the night
In path of moon, so eerie bright,
Whose radiance augments her show
She pirouettes through fading light
Until her dance is at its height
And time has come to take a bow
Her wings brush gently 'gainst the night
Her dance at dusk is Nature's plight
and though most folks would never know
She pirouettes through fading light
And her wings brush gently 'gainst the night.
