Each day and night on bended knee 
I bow my head in ardent prayer 
Count decades through my Rosary 
To beg forgiveness and repair 

To be a nun was not for me 
Abstaining all our Lord forbade 
I fled from His divinity 
And broke the holy vows I'd made 

The Lord provided sustenance 
By offering life in servitude 
Despite my disobedience 
He'd granted me an interlude 

I might have served a living hell 
On streets where death and sickness breed 
So I'll serve my days and serve them well 
Repentance for my dreadful deed
