Be still my heart for ‘tis just another day Each year is just a number with which I calculate The passage of time and trials as they pass Leaving me to continue my journey Be still my heart for there’s still time to play Each day is a step to be tenderly taken Towards adventures new as they arise Filling my world with textures to foray Be still my heart for ‘tis part of a cycle Each moment defined by disillusioned Waves as they rhythmically rise and fall Revealing the path I’ll choose today Be still my heart.
