What kind of a cat
Is that . . .

To sprawl on the bed,
leaving me on the edge.
And to purloin the quilt,
leaving me with the guilt
should I be tempted to move her.

She'll glare with disdain
putting me under strain,

while she strives to remain
in her glorious pose
(that is - paws over nose)
and I am left to suppose
that I am sure of one fact.

She is that kind of cat.

Delightful, Ruan! Purrfectly adequate description of feline personality. Love and best wishes to you,

Cats will survive when we are gone. They'll take over more than our beds.

Love the title. I sleep with 3 small dogs. They manage to use up 3/4 of the bed. Kudos to you. This is funny and well done.

The Best Kind of Cat, I'd Say! (But don't tell my spouse I said that - many a night many of our cats and dogs leave her very little room on our bed.)

They sure are independent cusses, aren't they? Mine won't come when she's called, ignores me when I want to pet her and pesters me when I don't. She'll eat til she throws up if you give her too much food. but if it's not the right kind,,,,, she'll just leave it in the dish until you change it. She finally learned to scratch on her scratching post, but still wants to scratch on the furniture if you don't put a stop to it. All in all she's a pain in the a.. Then out of the clear blue, she'll jump up into my lap and purr like crazy after a little gentle petting…. And the love affair starts all over again. Dontcha just love it? Dick
