Steadfastly here through thick and thin

You blamed me for your working strife 
And all that came to pass your days 
Then, on me, vent your rage at life

You cheated, then deceived amid 
your constant fits of ruthless rage 
...used to shield your selfish bid 
And burned your bridges stage by stage 

You bullied and estranged my heart 
With all your fierce vindictive might 
Until at last, quite torn apart 
I saw my love move out of sight 

The hate you've shown has worn me down 
Aggressive in its demonstration 
Now wary of your slightest frown 
My future's up for contemplation 

Betrayed by you, my soul mate gone 
(Reluctantly) I cease to trust
