We know that our world’s become ugly and sour

We know that it gets worse and worse, by the hour

It’s right there, in front of our own blinkered eyes

It’s not come about as an utter surprise

But what are we doing to turn this around

Look at the solutions we humans have found!

But where are our morals, integrity, pride...

And where is our courage to stand up world-wide?

When will we wake up and call for an end?

When do we embark on a process to mend

...all that’s awry in our idle respite?

Just when were we planning to put it all right?

Because...

Religion is causing much violent affray

It’s time to accept that they’re all here to stay

Our Governments rally to keep us enslaved

Democracy’s just another word for depraved

There are children that suffer in pain and desolation

Is this what we planned, when we sought procreation?

And our animals suffer gargantuan despair

There’s much we could do to make improvements there

Then, ‘Big Pharma’ controls all our lives to the death

Are we really prepared to sell them our last breath!

Charities, begging for the world to be fed

But most end up pocketing millions instead

Meanwhile...

While the starving grow sicker and more of them die

We politely ignore every fraudulent lie

We send our own offspring to fight to the death

In wars that will only deprive them of breath

Children and animals, millions desperate for care

Even though, we all have ample kindness to share

Wildlife deprived of its natural dwelling

Caged or destroyed, for whatever is selling

Our Politicians babble and lie, one and all

Lining their pockets, avoiding a fall

Our venerable leaders perverting our cause

From safely behind all their corporate doors

And...

Too lazy to seek out Mother Nature’s resources

We pop all those pills that ‘Big Pharma endorses

Pollutants and toxins, destroying our organs

Enforcing the use of remedial poisons

The circle is vicious, the costs are quite deadly

Big Pharma’s concocted a profitable medley

Now...

We’re sick and we’re weary. We’re brought to our knees

By profiteers, bigots, parasites like these

They’re clouding our judgement with glorious claims

When all they achieve is their own greedy aims

Just look what we’ve allowed them do to our lives

Is this how it should be – Is this how Man thrives?

So...

When are we intending to turn this around?
