Shades of heat

Fiery glow

A molten sky sinks low

To a sea of beaten copper

In sizzling deceit

Bronze sands rippling in the sultry heat

As palms step away

Mere silhouettes until the distant dawn

Interesting take on an the overworked subject of sunsets. I'll remember this one. Has a theatricality to it that is intriguing.
