Poem Artwork

When deepest secrets shared, means nothing

and the most heart-felt words are cast aside

The songs are no longer about love and trust

but of cold betrayal, cruel

Thoughlessness slashes the soul

and, wounded, the soul recoils

Love is not a reality on any level

...and trust cannot be relied upon

Hopes and dreams are figments of imagination

created while the mind is unsound

only a fool would attempt to build upon them.

I think we are all being Bamboozled today, in so many different areas, and very sadly, so many don't even know it.

Trusting someone or many takes time before secrets are shared.

Always,

Sadly, your verses express a timeless and universal theme of this life/world. Love and best wishes to you,

Life's lessons can be very cruel. Your poem illustrates one that happens more often than people would like.

Oh, how I know the feeling! The words "love and trust" go together. If we can't trust a person, how can we love that person? "..........and trust cannot be relied upon" says it all.

Love ya!

I hope this is an old wound not a new one. Anyhow, I've been near that crazy quilt crossroads in your picture. It's between Heartbreak Ridge and the River of No Return. Not a happy place.

I have come to understand, do what you think is right, even though others think it wrong. You may not die a rich old person, but you will die with a piece of mind that money can never buy.
