Once more incumbent visions fade
As joyous light dims, cold and mean
Advancement, just a passing grade,
Oblivious to what might have been.
Such slender hope detached and slain
Then cast aside as worthless waste,
Its humbled siblings note its pain
And scramble to move on in haste.
In fervent wish, lift up mine eyes,
A heartfelt prayer to rescue me
As frantically I search the skies
For signs of plighted destiny.
But all I see are shades of gloom
As other people’s clouds drift by.
Dejectedly, I spit and fume
Intent on stifling inner cry
The mind can rise and travel vast
The soul can scheme in colours bold
Yet where reality be cast
Such hopes and dreams will fast run cold
As walls enclose and thickened air
Contain me in imprisonment
It’s known that there’s a world out there
That’s brash and stark and insolent
It’s hard to know where to begin
Unravelling this snarled dissent
A void within a void, within
Chaotic mind’s encumberment
And though sun rise and dusk will fall
(Life’s daily dance for all to see)
It’s clear, beneath wind’s husky call,
This world was never meant for me.

Love ya!

Oh how I wish that tomorrow's sun rises and sets for you, and it brings you joy and comfort while you reset your compass and recharge your inner strengths that you have stored in abundance for moments such as now. I am reminded of a song not many years ago about Vincent Van Gogh that ended with the words "this world was never meant for someone as beautiful as you." Don't buy into that fiction. There is much room in this world for everyone as beautiful as you. Believe it.
