My first Valentine's day while in retirement in new environment.
Sun, sky, sea Seagulls and sandpipers You are my cohorts now 68 year old woman on my path Coming up soon on a new decade. Now in my solitude Eyeing the sweetheart balls No man of mine in sight Those that have been are gone. I can reminisce My poems bringing them to life In my mind’s eye In my heart that still feels young Of when times were good And sweetheart is what we called each other.
