The Piano Tuner

I thought I knew all there was to

              PLAY

on the old piano in the forgotten barn

              Till

one day he came along, singing a

            Lullaby,

a piano tuner he once was, offered to

              Look.

I told him, the piano was always like

               This

I got used to it, we all did, he didn't

                Listen

well not to me anyway, he did something

                Unique

the old piano sounded brand

                New

I had played mournful songs

               But

after he tuned it, he sat down and

               played

a loving melody, and I silently

               wept,

past his advanced age he seemed

               Younger

and strangely there I felt

                Older

the day the Piano Tuner stopped

                By

with his weathered face singing a

                Lullaby.........

Pardon the pun but I got rather 'keyed' up after reading this wonderful little poem.
Cheers,
