Life with you used to be so nice;
and ya know what, I'm paying the price.
I've cried a river since I left you;
and still now, my sadness a permanent hue.
I see your picture everyday;
the memories will just not go away.
Every decoration reminds me of us;
guess I'll always be in a darn fuss.
Three days later you brought over a bag;
everything was not quite there, a potential love snag?
Just keep wondering about my toiletries;
does this in any way relate to sociometry?
Those two issues I left you to ponder;
were they too much, our love to founder?
You were, and are a gem of a woman;
my heart still recalls, like dancing at the cotillion.
My ring you returned, I still wear yours;
your presence I still feel, and that I underscore.
Somehow though, I sense you still care for me;
check yes or no, and then I can really see.
Life with you used to be so nice;
and ya know what, I'm paying the price.
Who can tell which way this will go;
just hoping you're not considering this mumbo jumbo.
