Lyrics For A Jersey Song

Song lyrics for the state of New Jersey.

Inspection sticker says no idling, save gas;

traffic jams galore, stuck in a darn morass.

Too many folks in a get-somewhere-fast frenzy;

get out of my way, middle finger just groovy.

I've heard folks say that Jersey's got everything;

mountains, lakes and ocean, absolutely breathtaking.

The gardens are fabulous, the scenery noteworthy;

too bad when you're driving your nerves get topsy-turvy.

They used to say New Jersey and you, perfect together;

seems like some folks headed for Lancaster.

Too many people getting in each other's way;

it's quite obvious that most can't avoid the fray.

One thing's for sure, you'll get every Yankees game;

radio or TV, just simply make your claim.

If you make decent money, Jersey's for you;

if you don't, Wichita, Kansas could be your cue.

Jersey's got the winters, summers are kind of short;

when driving in the snow, ya better be a good sport.

If ya like a lot of sunshine ya better head west;

some I have known stayed, they lost their zest.

Inspection sticker says no idling, save gas;

traffic jams galore, vehicles are en masse.

Too many folks in a get-somewhere-fast frenzy;

get out of my way, middle finger with apathy.

Lived In New York (the city) and I know there is quite a bit of animosity between them and Jersey. Since I've never lived there, just for maybe a day or two I'll take your lyrics to heart.
