The gutters are clogged, what do you expect;
down on the patio it goes, rain cannot collect.
Birds and squirrels, they pick through the debris;
now the insects hatch, who would not be angry?
They seal-coated the lot, looks pretty nice;
the rent was raised, what a sacrifice.
The roof was done recently, surely needed that;
those on fixed incomes are near mortal combat.
The maintenance folks are always on the job;
why does that toilet- water hammer still make me sob?
They can't keep up, the buildings are downright old;
what could be next, a deluge of black mold?
The municipal taxes went up and so did the rent;
one just wonders if the funds are well-spent.
Some apartment dwellers really have no other choice;
one thing's for sure, they'll never own a Rolls Royce.
The gutters are clogged, what do you expect;
down on the patio it goes, rain cannot collect.
That repair on the leaky faucet still remains unclear;
just gotta find a way to get out of here.
