A grateful poem of love to God

Give me a morning brand spanking new
a rose full of bloom all fresh full of dew

A sun that won't give no iotas of gray
a season of joy and a cool month of May

Birds on my patio, squirrels on my tree
a day full of passion where leisure is free

Give me a day full of love and sweet lore
so I can thank God, for the less & the more.
