NOT FOR GOOD, MYSTIC...WINTER WILL COME SASHAYING BACK IN AT THE END OF THE YEAR JUST AS 'BRAZEN' AS EVER. BUT AT LEAST, WE WILL GET A MUCH NEEDED REPRIEVE WHEN SPRING ARRIVES. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
What a visual, tactile, and delightful picture of winter and all things snowy. I get the "booty" thing. It's what some people wear over their shoes--I'm almost certain of that. Fantastic poem!
And I thought "booty' was dirty money, loot, pillage, plunder, prize, or swag. Love winter though. Especially the silence of it. We have to go to the mountains to experience it here in SoCal. It's only 30 miles east and we're at 7200 ft.. It's pouring cats and dogs today on the commute home. Lotsa rain. Nicely written, Vienna. Enjoyed. Peace... r
And I thought that booty land was when you got cozy in winter before the fire and put your booties on. I've always been a fan of boobies resting braless under an angora sweater in winter. But you're right about the last stanza… Spring will kick your booty out the door.
Eh . . . You gave a special meaning to the hours we must survive and deal with within the scope of our journey of life. Hours! They are all there awaiting for us to use them.
Ron
Snow is nice.
I don't mind the cold,
but I sure hate ice.
And I always thought Booty Land was the name of a strip club.
