Can't start their day without a coffee, I've been told by some, but I don't find this to be true. Just to sit and watch the world pass by is enough for this little bird & be happy to read by you the written word...-e-

You so reminded me of my morning exercise watching the likes of a finch or sparrow eagerly find food in our bird feeder. They certainly are aggressive hungry little creatures that won't hesitate to fight their fellow birds when it comes to a place or tidbit to eat.

Unfortunately I do not have any cafe au lait until later and then it's just plain old black coffee.

A nice way to begin your morning watching nature at its best.

Ah... the beauty and mystery of nature. I have a hummingbird feeder, a suet cake holder, and a bird bath,and I love watching the birds do their thing. I used to feed them bird seed, but squirrels would hog most of it, and then they'd run up the tree and jump on the roof of our house. I ended up having to re roof because of the damage those squirrels did, so I stopped putting out bird seed. I miss the wildlife at the feeder, but value my roof more.
