I THINK WE NEED TO ADMIRE THEM INDEED. BUT IF WE FIND OURSELVES IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME WITH ONE OF THEM, I THINK 'FEAR' IS ALRIGHT. GREAT PICTURE...YOUR FINE POETRY REALLY BRINGS IT TO LIFE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
That mutation, like albinoism is rare. But I believe it is jaguars that are in danger. And of course, black Jaguars are even rarer, a recessive gene. The term, Black Panther, is given to leopards, mountain lions, and perhaps, some other cat species that are all-black. My younger brothers called the one that popped up in our yard as a kitten, Blackie. But he probably thought he was a panther in disguise. ;-)
Nice. Brought to mind Sheeta and Noru in Edgar Rice Burroughs 'The Legend of Tarzan' who were both of the same mind and attacked their prey together. Black Panthers are rare. Enjoyed your thoughts. rlc
