I had been searching high and low for the perfect cat
visited adoption centers and grooming centers every day
Then one day I decided to walk into a pet store at the mall
and lo and behold, in front of me was the prettiest black cat
I knew the sales girl well I used to call her "the cat whisperer"
She treated every cat with such loving reverence
When I asked if I could adopt her she just stared at me blankly
"Do you realize that today is Halloween"
there is a rule here, we don't sell black cats on Halloween!
Some people are cruel and torture them
I shook my head not believing what I was hearing;
Meanwhile two big green eyes pinned me as if to say ,
"won't you adopt me please, get me out of here "
The sales girl relented partly because she knew me,
partly because of her soft tender heart,
"tell you what, fill in the papers and come back tomorrow "
I smiled as the world righted before my very eyes,
she licked her paws then let out the cutest meowl,
she was mine, and she knew it !
We too have a feline friend that brings us great joy, and constant diversion. Lucy loves catching birds. When she does, she holds it gently in her mouth and brings it to us. We congratulate her, she puts the bird down gently, we touch it with a finger, and then it flies off. She also has a relationship with a hummingbird. She's tried catching it many times and failed. Now, they're friends. When it comes to visit, it hovers about 6-8 inches in front of Lucy's face, and they commune together. It's one of the most amazing things we've ever seen. Thanx 4 sharing. That is a very nice story poem. Cats should be given such reverence like the ancient Egyptians did. And torturing black cats on Halloween is despicable.
Cats are the one domesticated animal that never really left the wild and can survive without human help. Feral cats are everywhere and have a huge impact on wildlife. We need to be more careful about controlling the pet population.
As a cat lover, I can appreciate this. Lovely cat.

aaaawwwweeee... how BEAUTIFUL she is !!! I love cats to the extreme !! We have 3 dogs right now but if I had my way i would have nothing but kitties.. Awwweeee.. I'm so happy for you. My first kitties names was Tooddles..She is adorable to the extreme because she knows shes yours): They are the most mischievous creations from the Lord and funny! There are cat fishing rods with toys you can find at pet stores..She looks like she would put up alot of fightin for them fish
