The scent of Easter lilies is everywhere
representing new life, new hope
As we honor the resurrection of our Lord
through a celebration of memorial love,
we feel renewed and ready to meet a new year
full of peaceful living;
From the brazier comes a new and blessed fire
and as we light the pascal candle as a sign of hope
we overcome the darkness of the tomb
and enter a time of great knowledge
For we know He is the alpha and omega,
the beginning and the end,
A grain of bread in a broken world, full of hunger
The scent of Easter lilies reminds us that we
can be saved, and we can bloom again
thanks to the love He has bestowed on us,
since that very first Easter.

The message of resurrection and renewal witnessed in the coming of spring and the coming of Easter is undeniable and especially uplifting, filling our hearts with wonder as does the message of this poem of renewal.
Although I am not a religious person, Easter does, perhaps because of my RC upbringing, remind me of rebirth and new life moving forward. A lovely and moving poem Rose.
