Good topic, connecting our shadows to our sorrows — as in the darkness that follows us all around in one way or another. We could reverse that and see the shadow as indicative of sun, of light and thereby joy and sight. I especially like the lines, “to an ocean of love that will help me/be strong…” Thank you for sharing your art form ideas — they are always welcome. ~~ djl
I felt like I was floating along with you and your reverie of the sunlit day. Certainly were, casting the shadows away. You emoted just the right vibe to carry us away with you.
In contrast, I have been struggling to write a dark tale for my writers' group's next anthology… Something in the shadows.
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
