You stand there with that rose in your hair
singing that small song in a big big way
your voice cracks and you stare at the air
while everyone else is thinking, No Way !
You once were a mouse with no door
and your voice was a tiny whimper
Today you sing as if your life is much more
than a mere complicated existence, its much simpler
Your stand there with that rose all askew
thinking your a femme fatale, and by the way,
who asked you ?
IT IS TRULY WONDERFUL TO KNOW AND EMBRACE WHO WE ARE...AND NOT GIVE A HILL OF BEANS WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS! THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO BE...AND THOUGH IT IS NOT EASY TO GET THERE, IT IS WORTH EVERY 'BATTLE FORGED'(NOT ALONE, OF COURSE) TO...ARRIVE! WONDERFUL AND SO ENJOYED. Through self-acceptance and accountability, seeing ourselves in the mirror becomes a lot more than seeing a physical reflection. For the wise seeker, it is a process by which we can confront our inner self. For some this is not an easy task. True and honest growth begins with the willingness to see ourselves as we truly are, not who we think we are. Look in the mirror. That's your competition.
