I can see it hovering this gathering cloud of mine
waiting
patiently waiting for its time
it knows the time is close at hand
no rush
it will know when to come
for many years it has waited
uncomplainingly, biding its time
understanding the nature of the game
is to gather all the bad things
I have done
the bad things done to me
bad things
that is when it likes to come and torment
giving an eye for an eye
tooth for tooth
payback
how you like it asshole
when I give you something you won't be able to handle
depression
it has tried to come before
succeeded to an extent
but not really because I was too strong
not now
I am weaker now and it knows it
its coming
this is just a flat out fact
so, it has finally come to this
I find myself alone
my wife gone nine years
I find I am missing her so much more
than I knew I could
but, hey! I'm not complaining
life is life
it does with you as it sees fit
but I have frigging news for that gathering cloud
I ain't that weak yet, buster
get lost
no, hell no, not today
not tomorrow
you’re not welcomed in my life
I’m not that weak
nope, maybe another day
I am fortunate to often see spry folks in their 90s.
I know what it is to get tired, but we can sleep it off.
Loved the grip of this, and outlasting the storm.
It's what you always do.
As I tell others....As I always respond....My motto is....As long as you wake up each morning, plant your two feet on the sturdy floor, Go about your day....Just keep on steppin....Don't let anything stop you at all....And as you long as you can....Just keep on truckin....
Dark clouds have short life-span. After it rains it disappears. Not a thing to worry about. Yup! put up a good fight, do the sun dance to keep the clouds away.
Putting up the good fight! Sartre said, "Hell is other people." I would alter that a bit in your case. In your case, Hell may be your own thoughts. But I see that you are taking steps to make sure that those thoughts do not control your life from here on out.
The will of a fighter. Your grounding of the feelings and trepidation is arguably what is needed to withstand that bad weather. Sounds to me like you're just taking a breather in the corner for the next round.
This was no mere illusion. Colin Chase Rand, pulled through a magical portal, landed in 1935 where the dust bowl and the Great Depression was destroying lives, and a serial killer was in their midst
Love ya!
