A busy day it is today,
Crowds bustle back and forth,
Men shout out their goods,
As they invite customers,
To come,buy and bargain,
Whatever produce in the stalls,
Fresh fruit and vegetables,
Catch my eye with bright colours,
Oranges,Yellow Lemons and bananas,
Green cucumbers,beans and vine leaves,
Cauliflowers and cougettes,
Amongst the brightest of all,
Are tomatoes and strawberries,
And a cocktail celebration it is,
As the various colours provoke,
Inner happiness,full of life,
A cycle of money exchange,
As it is passed around,
As women are happy to spend,
To take home and cook,
And grocers are happy to earn,
To take home to their wives,
Who will shop and cook,
And I am reminded of life,
It's struggles and necessities,
Here in the market,
Today and Everyday.
