A great joy it is,
To get up early,
For the Eid prayer,
To rejoice the end,
Of Ramadan,
A month of spiritual depth,
As children wear brand-new clothes,
Receiving gifts and money,
And homes get crowded,
With teapots brewing more tea,
As Relatives, Friends,
And guests come to visit,
To congratulate and celebrate,
The excitement, Live and vivid,
In every muslim household,
Everyone is served plenty of sweets,
Chocolate and traditional feasts,
In peace and harmony,
For Islamic unity.
