I know some of what you speak about here, but of course not all. I think Kate said it very well - this poem is remarkable both for what it says AND doesn't say. Good work Janet.

Cryptic and mysterious, yet poignant and deeply personal. My Answer is a poem that raises so many questions in the mind of the reader as to be an ironic title. This shoots roots and tendrils of thought all over the place, Janet, and offers no resolution (unless I am being completely dense?! Quite probably, I'm afraid!). For me, this speaks almost irrationally of a Fallen World on more levels than one. This is a good example of poetry being taken as found by the reader and I have enjoyed the stimulation - in spite of the undercurrent of sadness. I hope I'm not wading in jackboots over delicate ground here - please forgive me if I am. TY Kate xx
