Got a basic blues rhythm going here.

It's been so long since I saw you That's a hard road to ride It's been so long since I saw you Makes me hurt deep inside Seems like skies have been grey Since you went away It's been so long So long Saw a child standin' and smilin' Wish I was smilin' too Saw a child standin' and smilin' Then I thought about you Oh I thought about you The things that you do It's been so long So long Waitin' for the day I'll see you Know that day is comin' soon Waitin' for the day I'll see you Then that man in the moon He'll be smilin' with me 'Cause you will be free It's been so long So long Jane Noponen Perinacci

This is beautifully sad, Jane, and yes, you definitely have mastered the basic blues rhythm. I adore this poem.
