Great poetic thoughts Jane!
My first time on the Den no one knew my name
But in no time I was the top of my game
Not everyone liked my work but that's alright
Most critiques were sincere feed back and mostly polite
So this is a place to go to escape the normal life
It's a time top be creative and live, love and rejoice life!
Amen!

I'll have to check that out on the lifespan calculator whether or not poetry leads to a longer life. Some poets do seem to go on and on and on� Forever. ;-)

Denzenians, a new word, kind of like my Facebookians new word, but as you say the Den is a place to run and hide, away from the harsh old world of the Book of Face and such...AOL used to seem that way too, at one time...but progress wrote them out of the picture too. Stay here and visit the other site, its for the better, for all of us, I think...-e-

I love it because as a rookie I felt so comfortable from the beginning when I put my first poem on here last year. It's wierd but I feel like I have gotten to know you guys, too many names to mention, even though we probably will never meet in person .
Hey, maybe we need evey year or two have an authors den meet & greet in the center of the country somewhere, Plan out a program and all. So many things could be done at a meeting and could have bunches of fun. I am pretty new, so may have done that before, I don't know.

Having a favorite place to write is great for writer's block. Just being in a familiar,comfortable quiet place, gets the creative sparks flying.
